Today (18 Dec 2014) at approximately 10.20 a.m., rescue workers were notified of a gas tank explosion at the Xinkeyuan Steel Factory, a steel bar manufacturing company located in the WHA Rayong Industrial Estate, Nong Lalok Subdistrict, Ban Khai District, Rayong Province.Officers are currently spraying water to control the fire from spreading. Initial reports from local volunteers indicate that five people were injured and sent to Ban Kai Hospital, but there are no reports of deaths.
